Guidance in House

• 芙美子　：
• 家の中を案内致します。ここは客間です。
• Fumiko　：
• I show the inside of my house. This is the “KYAKUMA.”
• メアリー　：
• 何をするところですか。
• Mary　：
• How do you use it ?
• 芙美子　：
• 主にお客様と話をするところです。
• Fumiko　：
• When we meet the guests, we usually use this room.


• メアリー　：
• あれはステージですか。何をするのですか
• Mary　：
• Is that a stage? What is it for?
• 芙美子　：
• 床の間です。壺や掛け軸や花を置きます。これは座布団です。この上に座って下さい。
• Fumiko　：
• It is called “TOKONOMA.”
• It is a place to display pottery,scrolls and arranged flowers.
• This is a “ZABUTON.“Please be seated.


• 芙美子　：
• ここが、お風呂です。
• Fumiko　：
• This is the bathroom,“FURO."
• メアリー　：
• 使い方を教えて下さい。
• Mary　：
• Tell me how to use it .
• 芙美子　：
• こちらで服を脱いでこの籠に入れて下さい。
• 風呂場でお湯に入る前にこの桶で体にお湯をかけてください。
• Fumiko　：
• Take off your clothes here and put them in this basket.
• Before you get into the bathtub, be sure to wash your private parts with the water in the tub using this bowl.


• メアリー　：
• シャワーを使ってもいいですか。
• Mary　：
• May I use the shower?
• 芙美子　：
• いいですよ。体を洗うときには風呂桶の外で洗ってください。
• 石鹸の泡はよく流してください。
• Fumiko　：
• Of course, and be careful not to use soap in the tub.
• Don't get into the tub with the foam on.
• メアリー　：
• わかりました。
• Mary　：
• I understand.


• 芙美子　：
• 終わったら、お湯の栓を抜かないでください。
• Fumiko　：
• When you finish, be careful not to pull off the tap of the tub.
• メアリー　：
• なぜ抜いたらいけないのですか。
• Mary　：
• Why? What's for?
• 芙美子　：
• このお湯はみんなで使うからです。
• 日本の風呂桶は中で身を洗うためではなく温まるためにあるのです。
• Fumiko　：
• Because all the family use the same water in the tub.
• Our bathtub is not for washing but for warming.
